I rented a comby over the weekend. Firstly I was charged for 4 days and I only had the comby for 3 days. I had to pick up the comby @ 10h00 on the Friday and went to do the paper work @ 9h36 but only took the car out at 11h00 as we waited for people to arrive. We returned the car on Mnoday @10h00. Surely it's rediculous and unecceptable to charge me for 4 days!!! No one even told me that if I take the car 30 min early I will need to pay an extra day. Secondly I received an sms that the fual charge was R328, then on the invoice I see it's R570? My Quote and my invoice also don't agree. This is a matter that I will bring to the attention of the compensation commissioner. Europcar will NEVER see me again, our Company use then as well and we will change suppliers! There rates are more expensive then any other car rental even if you get the Discovery discount. I hope other people don't get trapped by the same as I did.
