Bad Attitude and Customer service

I went into this garage on Sunday 07/04/2013, with 53 staff and purchased 2 pies @ R15.90. I overheard a conversation with the next cashier to my colleague, explaining that there was a special at the garage for a pie and a half liter of cold drink at R20. I then inquired with the cashier attending to me and she asked me to speak to the manager. I approached him and he agreed to refund me and recharge me for the special. We then proceeded to the cashier and waited until she was done with her customers. After 5 mins the manager then began to yell at me and told me that the special was now over and i should take my pies and leave the garage. I then yelled back, as this was ridiculous. half of my staff paid for this special and then the price changed. I have tried contacting the owner and am still trying. I would however appreciate any help i can get as i feel this is bad customer service and a total rip off.
