In general, customer service in Bethlehem pretty much across the board, but this takes the cake!
I use UTI Couriers regularly to collect my 70kg coffee sacks from JHB and I collect them in Bethlehem, which is much cheaper than having them sent to Clarens.
Yesterday, I arrive there to collect my coffee which has been correctly dropped off at the Beth depot, only to be told I need to pay DOUBLE as my supplier had incorrectly filled in the waybill with my Clarens address! Didn't matter that the driver instructions were correct - drop off at Bethlehem depot for collection.
The manager was fully prepared to make it MY problem and did not want to help. When I fought back, she gave me the phone number of the PTA accounts department, who I phoned from MY cell phone and explained the situation. The lady I spoke to, Polite, said it should not be a problem as it had not yet been invoiced on their system and all they had to do was pass a credit to the Bethlehem branch.
Christa was fully prepared to punish me for a minor error on my supplier's part that was easy to correct, and then to lose my /- R1600 p.m. business for good just because she was too lazy to do anything about it.
