Audi South Africa
Faulty A5 from the word "Go"

We bought a new Audi A5 in Dec 2012. Two weeks after we received the brand new car the problems started. The engine cut out completely when I tried to overtake another vehicle. I drove to Audi Fourways immediately who just reset the unit and told me to bring it back if it happens again. About 5 weeks after that, the same thing happened. This time Audi Fourways put the car on the diagnostic system and picked up a Turbo pressure problem. The service department checked for damaged pipes, with no luck, reset the unit and once again told me to watch it and bring it back should it happen again. This past weekend the same problem occurred when we wanted to overtake. This time it was a narrow escape and it could have been fatal! This is a intermittent problem that no one seems to be able to pin point or sort out. First Audi we own and not impressed. Should have stuck to Mercedes. We no longer trust this brand new R600k Audi. NOT SAFE TO DRIVE!!! Be careful before you buy an Audi. Maybe we just got a dud.
