Kia Motors South Africa
Why I'll never buy anouther Kia

I first took my second hand Kia Cerato 2010 to Multifranchise Paarden Island on 22 November 2012 for a routine 65000 service. A couple of days later I noticed theat the petrol guage, which had been working fine before the service, was no longer working. To cut a long story short 4 months, over 50 phone calls and 5 visits to Multifranchise later and the petrol guage is still not working. I have in that time I have spoken to numerous people at Multifranchise, including the dealer principal and the service manager and nobody has ever had the decency to tell me why a 'state-of-the-art' service centre cannot diagnose the problem. Furthermore I have had numerous promises to investigate the problem and get back to me, which no one ever does. There is NEVER any feedback from them regarding the status of my problem or what they are doing about it. Everytime I phone IO have to explain the whole saga from the beginning. Any new parts required (they have already replaced some parts on the fuel tank which didn't solve the problem and have now decided the cluster is faulty) take 3-4-weeks to order from Korea. It doesn't seem as though they carry any spare parts in South Africa.
