Droving from George to Cape town we experience some trouble with the vehicle wheel alignment. We decided to take the vehicle to Goodhope tyres because it was on our way to our destination. We asked the technician for a upfront calculation of how much the job will cost which he than indicate R450.00. We the client then gave permission to proceed with the job.
When receiving the bill we were shocked to see that the amount were R750.00. When we strongly convey our disappointment the manager in charge then informed us that the amount depends on the model of the car and in this regard a Mercedes Benz Vito. Further shocked we received when we the client produce a debit card for payment the sales lady informed us that we have to pay an extra R10.00 to use the debit card machine. When we object she said it is company policy although such a policy were not visible in the service centre.
We feel that this were daylight and maybe our vehicle licence plate (CAW) played a vital role when they determined the fee. Back in George we asked for different quotes for the same job and it were R250.00 at most service centres. Wont trust a service provider outside George again.
