Audi A4 1.8T 2001 model, CBS 30310. Vehicle broke down last year 21 December 2012. Took it to Tavcor Motor Group branch in George.By the way the vehicle is frequently serviced @this Dealers. It has full service history by them as I bought it 2nd hand @Tavcor Select. Servicing is done by them @regular service intervals. They stripped the car & told me that they have bad news for me. The engine was damaged to the extend that I will need a New Engine. I asked what could have led to such damage as I believe that for the mere fact the vehicle is repaired with Audi genuine parts by an accredited dealer with qualified mechanics thay should have spotted this shortcoming. Seriously what is the use of repairing or servicing my vehicle with Audi branded dealer if this is what will happen to me?
The vehicle has been @their premises as from January 2013 bcos I can't afford R104 000 to buy aNEW ENGINE. The vehicle is not even worth R75 000. What bothers me is the loyalty of complying with doing what your institutions preach to us customers. That we must service or vehicles with U bcos U only put Audi genuine parts. I feel cheated & to bcos there is no value for money in our relationship. I
