Kia Motors South Africa
Kia failing to resolve problems

I did send an email last week, no response yet.

My aunt bought a Kia Picanto on my recommendation three years ago. It was a demo model. Since the first week she had the car, she had problems with the battery. At least twice a week, the battery was dead when she wanted to start in the morning. We took the car to a reputable battery centre, which ascertained that the battery was drawing power, even if NOTHING in the car is on. We took the car back to Vereeniging, they had it tested, and apparently they couldn't find anything wrong. They said there is nothing at all wrong with the battery. Lo and behold, a few days later the same thing. And this has been going on the whole time. Very regularly, she has to replace the battery at her own cost. This is the only way she is able to use her car. This week again, she had to replace the battery. The battery centre again tested the car, and told her the battery is still drawing power when the car or nothing in it, is running. My aunt is 73 years old, I find this quite ridiculous that Kia is after three years not willing to solve the problem, which has been reported from the start.
