Engen Petroleum
Who Takes the Blame

This Morning 22/02/2013 at 10.17 I had just finished with a Car wash at the Brighton Beach Service station located on Marine drive on the Bluff. Was on the forecourt approaching the fuel pumps when a projectile hit my rear Windscreen a brass motor vehicle tyre valve was found close by we assume it was this object that had hit the glass and then bounced off side-wards. My Car is a Renault Megane Saloon, said windshield was still in immaculate condition prior to this incident and now was completely shattered. The people running this Garage appeared to be totally unconcerned with the damage done to my vehicle. telling me I rather find the Car that flicked up this valve and claim of them. I put it this way the valve would appear to have been lying on the forecourt for some time I found an assortment of nuts and bolts and even large concreting stones lying around. My complaint therefore would be bad housekeeping was the cause.

According to the Garage this had never happened before? can only happen to me and I am left devastated, unable to use my Car until this Window can be replaced I can only hazard a guess on the cost which will be around R5, 000
