My wife pulled into an Engen service station in the Northgate area of Johannesburg to fill up with fuel. While waiting for a pump to become available, a car with 2 occupants pulls in behind her and starts hooting for her to get out the way!! She gesticulates that she is waiting for a space. A male passenger then approaches my wifes car from the passenger side, screaming and shouting. He then tries to smash the window and grabs the door handle in an attempt to enter the vehicle. My wife is terrified and drives off a distance. The offender then gets back into his vehicle only to just go into the garage shop.
Phone customer care line, regional rep phones me back, listens to the complaint, but can't find the garage on their own dealer map. Sends me details of the wrong garage. After 17h00 on a Friday the customer care line closes until Monday. Fantastic. No follow-up from regional rep to what is a serious incident. Cannot get anyone from Engen Head Office on the phone. Worry that camera footage will be recorded over by Monday.
Engen - you need top up your game.
