Engen Petroleum
Damage to vehicle due to staff negligence

On 23 July 2013, at around 7:30, I went to the Engen in Stanmore, Phoenix to fill petrol. Due to negligence Diesel was filled in the petrol storage tank. I requested for LRP and Diesel was filled into my tank. I was not aware of this and drove away from the garage. I started experiencing problems with my car, being alone with my 17 month old daughter I tried driving home but switched off after going /- 2 km. My car had to be towed home. I went back to the garage after my mechanic told me that diesel was put into my car. They offered to have it fixed. I left it with them and they drained the tank and told me that the car will be fine after a couple of weeks of driving. I went back to the garage on 12 August 2013 and told them that the car is still not right. They gave it back to the same mechanic who said that there is a valve that is burnt in the engine and it has to go to the engineers. Now the owner of the Engen garage in Stanmore, Mr Misra refuses to pay for the repairs. He says that it was not caused by the diesel. I feel that I should not have to pay for something that was not my fault.
