Volkswagen
Inaccurate vehicle service history information

I bought a 2005 Polo Classic from Volkswagen Bruma in September 2011. The vehicle apparently had a "full service history". Recently I've had A LOT of problems with my car and finally took it to Volkswagen Hatfield for the 60 000km service (the 2012 oil change service was done) and I've just been told that my vehicle still has the 2004/2005 parts (petrol filter, air filter, spark plugs, etc etc) that it was manufactured with (parts made in Austria). These old parts caused damage to other (expensive) parts. THIS IS RIDICULOUS. Do you mean to tell me that a 6 year old vehicle (37 000km on the clock at the time of purchase) has NEVER needed filters to be changed etc but it "has a full service history". Not possible. If I had known the TRUE service history I would NOT have bought the car. I feel cheated, I'm furious. Day before I collected the car, the sales rep (Wilson) said that the vehicle was also "serviced" by Volkswagen Bruma. Do you mean to tell me that they didn't pick up on the fact that NOTHING had been replaced since 2004/2005?? This 60 000km service is costing me R4 600 - R9 000 due to VOLKSWAGEN BRUMA'S NEGLIGENCE AND DISHONESTY!!!
