Nissan South Africa
NP200 Tonneau Covers

In 2012 I bought a new NP200 & fitted the "better" quality Tonneau cover, a decision I have since regretted! It took the dealership more than an hour to attach the cover & although it looked very neat, I soon learned it is impossible for 1 person to attach the cover again once removed. Even for 2 people it is very difficult. The load capacity of my new bakkie suddenly became much less. After having to transport larger items (after all that is why I bought a bakkie) the thought of struggling with the cover seemed exhausting, so I left it off. It is now lying in my garage gathering dust (while I'm wishing the money I wasted was rather still earning interest in the bank) Today I noticed that 1 of the plastic bars of the frame broke off and that it was lost without me even noticing it. I contacted Nissan & was told that I will need to purchase the whole cover set as the parts are not sold separately. I now need to spend another R3k on another set of the same inferior product to replace one plastic bar and still continue not using the unpractical cover. CLEARLY not the standards I expected from Nissan. This experience resulted in my first Nissan purchase to be my last.
