Handling of Accident

I was involved in an accident involving the company vehicle which was driven by their employee (according to the driver). Upon contacting the company, I was told to pursue the matter privately/deal directly with the drive not the company since they are a rental company.
Attached is a copy of drive ID& licence and the vehicle roadworthy disc and accident report number.
