UPS failed our school — shipment delayed nearly a month, no accountability

We’ve had one of the worst service experiences with UPS South Africa. A time-sensitive shipment for our school robotics team was stuck for weeks without explanation. Despite multiple follow-ups, there was no communication, no urgency, and no clarity.

When their delivery partner finally contacted us, it had already been nearly a month since the order was placed, and we only received the customs invoice after further escalation.
UPS’s response? A copy-paste apology that didn’t acknowledge any of the actual issues raised. No accountability. No solution. No compensation offered.

This level of service is unacceptable, especially when it directly affects students and educational institutions. Based on this experience and the many other poor reviews online, we absolutely do not recommend UPS for international shipments, particularly in southern Africa.
