My mother, Rachel Afrikaner bought prepaid electricity at Caltex Delft Main Road. She jotted down the number on a piece of paper and the one that assisted her swapped 2 numbers. She only became aware of this after struggling to punch into the prepaid box. She contacted Eskom Call centre and went to their offices that confirmed that it was the case. Eskom gave her a letter, confirming that Caltex had to refund her as the number belonged to someone else in E-Cape and was not used at all. She returned to Caltex, upon which the manager said that it would look bad should he refund the money, but also said he knew should he not do so, she would probably not support them again. He refused to refund the money, knowing it could not be used.
