Although the closest service station to me is Caltex (Cowey Road) I don't usually fill there, as I have experienced bad service there previously. Now, because Standard Bank has this U-counts offer with R1 per litre back in u-points, I decided to fill petrol there yesterday.
There were only 2 pump attendants available (I was told one was at lunch). Even three pump attendants would not be enough. Two pumps were not working. People were queuing, getting frustrated, and then driving off without filling petrol. The owner of this service station should go and view his cctv footage to see how much business he lost due to being understaffed, and he is giving Caltex a bad name.
There was no manager on duty to complain to. Saving money on staff and having pumps that are not working, may save this Caltex franchise owner money, but I, like others yesterday, would not be filling at this Caltex service station again.
