So, I made the mistake to buy from a 1 owner, 1 salesman dealership @ 384 Voortrekker rd. There is 1 salesman, Pat, father in law, of Pierre (owner), who only knows something if it's to their benefit.
Eventually I dealt with Pierre who promptly answered and returned ALL my calls before I signed on the dotted line. Thereafter he was Houdini.
Anyhow, I'll make a long story short. The deal was ALL inclusive meaning everything to get the car on my name (on the road/motor plan or whatever else is not on my name). I asked Pierre - "no hidden cost right? " He assured me, "That's right, you don't pay a cent. Everything included." Regrettably, I took his word.
He made a booking for me at BMW to get the motor plan on my name. He even said, use the previous owners name then everything they do will be on his name. Another sign of how this guy does business. I went to BMW and Surprise! I had to pay R1200 to transfer the motor plan onto my name. I phoned Houdini and gone, whatsapp him and can see he reads it and ignores me.
I'm also still waiting for the service books, manuals and spare key. Watch the space for another complaint.
Do yourself a favor and stay away from Top Cars!!
