No delivery since 23 Decembe

I phoned Skynet in George this morning (28 Dec) to establish why my parcel despatched from a supplier in Johannesburg on 23 Dec had not yet been delivered. I was quoted and paid for for EXPRESS delivery, which normally would mean next day delivery by 09:30. I was informed that no one was at home on 27 December, which is utter nonsense as at all times between 06:00 and 18:00 at least 5 people and our two dogs were at home. Apart from that the delivery instruction clearly state that I should be contacted on my cellphone in order that I can open the gate. No trace of such a call on my cellphone.

Skynet's tracking info shows that the parcel was received in their Johannesburg Branch at 18:05 on 23 Dec and in their George Branch at 08:20 the next morning. Assuming that it just missed deliveries on 24 Dec it should have been delivered no later than 09:30 on 27 Dec (25 & 26 Dec being public holidays). On that day is was despatched for delivery at 09:07 but returned undelivered to the George Branch at 18:48.

The earliest that I can now expect delivery is early morning on 30 December nearly 7 days after it being despatched. That is definitely not the EXPRESS service that I paid for.
