We arrived at the airport after an 18 hour flight to find that our 6:00pm booking would not be honored! Dollar/Thrifty (D/T) contracts with [URL Removed] When we booked a minivan through [URL Removed] D/T reserved a Nissan Livina for us instead. A Livina has either 5 or 7 seats. In order to get boot space in the 7-seater you need to fold down the back two seats. We needed more room than that as we are in the country for a month and as a family of four we have a large amount of luggage. At first D/T tried to give us the 5-seat Livina. They said if we wanted a 7-seater it would take 2 hours to get one from their depot. We had no choice but to wait as all of the other car rental places were booked. After waiting two hours with our 14 month old daughter and 8 year-old daughter a 7-seater arrived but it had shattered glass all throughout the back seat and boot. D/T suggested we put our children in that car! We had to wait another 1.5 hours as they got manager approval to give us a bigger car. The entire time we were treated rudely and we have been continuously treated horribly the past ten days as we have battled management and the owner for a refund. D/T = BAD! NEVER USE D/T!
