Daylight! billing mistakes & bad attitude

I used DHL Global forwarding to ship a package from India to Pretoria and the process of receiving it has been a nightmare. I was first contacted in November to say that my package had arrived and that i should pay R4700 in duties, etc to receive it, i thought it was expensive since the goods are only worth about R5000 but I paid it anyway since it was urgent.

After I confirmed with the Ocean import controller that i had paid it, i was told that they had made a mistake and that i should actually pay R78 000! Which is insane! After much arguing, I was told that they made another mistake and that the amount which i should pay is actually R16652! I again told them that it was unnaceptable and demanded my initial payment back to which they responded that they had made another mistake and that the amount i should pay is R9964.

This is unnaceptable as it seems they are only trying to rip people off by giving ridiculous bills until someone is stupid enough to pay it! i am tired of dealing with this matter now, my shipment can be destroyed but I just want my payment of R4700 back and DHL is not even replying to my e-mails anymore.
