MCCarthy VW Silveroaks, in the person of it's dealership manager named Stephan Delport, is seriously abusing and direspecting his workers. My wife was offered a learnership and from day one she was subjected to verbal abuse, harrasment, humiliation and intimidation. Her basic rights like e.g. safety shoes were made a huge issue, she was confronted with and sexual harrasment on the workfloor as she was the only black woman technician. She was forced to sign written warnings without being allowed to view the content of them and labelled as a troublemaker and reminded daily she can be kicked out at any time as she is on a learnership so it is best for her to shut up. She was told she was only hired for the BEE status to have a black female technician in the company. She was dragged into a hearing and was accused of and negligence. Stephan has on two occasions prevented my wife from getting another job within McCarthy, at McCarty VW Centurion and at MCCarthy VW Menlyn, it simply boiles down to defamation of character. He admitted it and told us that he will continue doing this and I should be ready to take on the whole McCarthy group as he speaks on their behalf.
