For the second time since I bought a new Citroen in 2010 with a McCarthy full maintenance plan costing R32k have I been told by a Citroen service dealer that they do not have an agreement with McCarthy and could not fix my car unless I pay cash and claim back from McCarthy myself. Why am I held responsible for lack of communication/admin between dealerships and McCarthy? Surely the Consumer Protection Act should protect customers like me who pays dearly for something but there is always a story with it. Is this a Citroen SA problem or McCarthy problem?
