My goods were packed and placed in storage at their warehouse prior to my departure from SA to Malawi. My first complaint is that I sent all requested documentation to their offices on the 8th of 0ctober. I was then informed, once the green light had been given by their clearing agent that our goods were not able to leave for Malawi because they were waiting for the allocated truck to return from a trip to Malawi. I can't believe that a company of their size and reputation would only have one truck available to do cross border removals. Our truck finally left two weeks after their offices received all documents. At no time whilst our goods were in transit did we receive an update from Pickfords with regards to the location of our goods. Our goods arrived but we still had to wait a week to have delivery as they were not aware that a clearance letter had to be obtained from the Revenue Authority here. When the truck arrived, it arrived with a driver NOT ONE PERSON TO UNPACK, my quote included unpacking onto counter tops and removal of debris. I took this up with management (branch manager) but once they have your money, your concerns are of no importance to them at all.
