Motor Accident Group
Opel Combo

My vehicle was towed to MAG on 13/09/2013. The quote was done for a clutch in the amount of plus minus R26000.00. The assessor went to see the vehicle and brought the quote down to plus minus R5200.00. I then authorised repairs for this amount. About a month later, and after numerous phone calls to Charlene, Denzil finally called me and advised some bearing had to be replace for R2500.00. This was not authorised by me, but was already done. The amount of repairs were now R8200.00. I then kept on phoning and sending e-mails, and finally Denzil advised the throttle body had to be replaced in the amount of R12000.00. He advised the vehicle will start, but will not rev, so they have to remove the faults diagnostically, and we will be able to drive the vehicle home, but as soon as we switch off the ignition, the fault will reapear again. On 11/11/2013 I managed to get the money and went to fetch my vehicle. To make a very long story short, I was treated like a criminal, my jack was gone, and after I settled the amount, was forced to sign a clearance that I was happy with my vehicle repairs, or they will not release my vehicle. What a joke.
