I recently had Master Movers relocate me from Jhb to Cape Town. I opted not to take insurance. The move went well but for a load of composite decking. Somehow after confirmation that the decking was signed into stock and signed out again it went missing and after numerous calls and emails I was told that as I did not have insurance with them, that I should contact my insurance company. My understanding is that insurance covers an incident not negligence. Besides the cost for the transport, I also paid for 3 months storage of my decking. The final word I got is " you never took insurance ", not even an apology.
