In June 2011, I purchased a new Cerato Koup 2 litre manual from KIA Meadowdale in JHB.
My enthusiasm was short lived when just under 2000 kms my car leaked oil - KIA SA Service Centre advised the bolts around the gear box needed replacing. This incident was reported in July & repairs done by August. A courtesy vehicle whilst the car was in for repairs.
In February 2012 I reported the 2nd oil leak which was repaired by March. A courtesy vehicle was loaned. Not too long after - a 3rd oil leak on the vehicle & once again my car was back in with KIA.
In December 2012 the car went in for its 30 000km service & I reported a strange noise. I was advised the gear box yet again needed to be removed and bolts replaced for the 4th time. This time the car was needed for a min of 5 weeks & no courtesy vehicle would be forthcoming as they did not have such a policy and it was my issue as to how to get to work etc. Since November my leather on the steering wheel & gear level been peeling off.
I have filed numerous reports with KIA SA, their customer services division and the Motor Industry Ombudsman - who cannot get KIA SA to respond. This shows a disregard for customer service!
