I Got a puncture on my rental at First Car Rental. When I returned I informed them thereof and needed to fill in a claim form which I did. I specifically asked the person receiving the vehicle and handling the claim forms that if there is going to be any payment from my side applicable where he directly informed me no and that the tyres is covered by insurance. I then later received a invoice of R1830 for the damaged tyre and labour.
Through the whole rental process wasn't I even ONCE informed that this is the case. I am totally unsatisfied with this due to the fact that I only receive an invoice and a payment already been subtracted from my Credit card. I have rented numerous times vehicles from First Car Rental and not even once in the past as well was I informed. Howe come now all of a sudden and that after I was directly informed there wont be a payment. This is totally unacceptable especially considering the fact that they have consciously mislead me regarding this matter. They even have charged me R450 for admin fee of the claim???
