We bought a new Renault Clio Dynamic in May/June of this year and have been disappointed with a number of aspects regarding the car.
Firstly, the petrol usage. The car now stands at? 10 200km and my wife has driven to Polokwane, Piet Retief/Newcastle and Mokopane with the car. On average it gets about 6.3 liters per 100km on the open road. That is if it's driven manually. Using cruise control increases the usage even further and in town it averages at about 7.6l/100km.
Secondly, the car makes a grumbling noise when turned off, after having been driven on any type of open road.
Thirdly, the car loses power when its fan is turn on, not the aircon, the fan...
Fourth, the car's auto stop function hasn't been working since we first received the car. Renault Route 24 reloaded all the software in an attempt to fix this, but hasn't been able to solve the problem.
We are especially disappointed in the petrol usage, seeing as my wife now uses more petrol than she did with her 2008 Sirion. We never would have gone with the Clio if we knew this would be the case.
Could someone please look into our problems and provide an explanation?
We find these problems unacceptable for a brand new car!
