Due to Avis system issues and not being able to access records afterhours, I was informed I could not hire a car and was left stranded in Sandton on 21h30 on Sunday evening 3 November.
The manager was contacted and he/she basically said, sorry we cannot help you. I was left to hire taxi's for the following day and received a call at 15h30 Monday afternoon to say sorry, there was no issue, we had a system problem. Would you still like us to deliver your car...?
Totally unacceptable and disgraceful. I would like the senior management at Avis to be informed of this event and put measures in place to ensure no other client experiences this ever again.
