Don't ever make an online car hire reservation through Travel Jigsaw.
This company is part of [URL Removed] which is part of the Priceline group.
Their online booking system is devious and designed to trick you into taking an insurance add-on that you do not need but costs about 50% of the total rental charge! Beware the small print on the website booking section. It contains a tiny check-box that you need to "uncheck" in order to avoid being automatically charged for something called "Damage Excess Refund". It sounds like a refundable deposit but is not.
When you try to complain by telephone you are professionally fobbed off by a well-rehearsed operator who advises you to submit your complaint in writing. Once you have done that, you are informed that the "Customer Service Department" (sic) will respond within 28 days! They are a faceless organisation that thrives only at the expense of the people it preys on. Don't use them!
