I am totally disgusted at the way our company Assign Services got treated as a PAYING client for road side assistance. Yesterday at 14:00 we called AA to assist us in moving our Nissan Interstar from 5th Street Wynberg to 12th Street, Kew which is less than 5 km. We advise that we couldn't drive the vehicle as the vehicle wouldn't go into gears. The AA was supposed to help move the vehicle from our premises to our mechanic. On making the phone call at 14:00 we got told that road side assistance would be out in -2 to 2 1/5 hours (giving a time limit of AA been here between 16:30 and 17:00). We informed the consultant that our vehicle was sitting on 6th Street, Wynberg on a one way and need to get the vehicle urgently out of the way.
I called at 16:30 to find out how far the AA road side assistance was and the consultant told me they would be there in another 30 minutes. At 17:30 myself and my driver once again called to find out where the AA was and still got told they are on their way. At 18:30 once again called as my driver had a job to do and still was sitting in the Interstar waiting for the AA to arrive. AA only arrived at 20:35. OVER 5 HOURS WAITING.
