I bought a car through a dealership. During roadworthy I was told that new tyres should be fitted. I agreed with the dealership that I will carry half of the cost being R2800. The dealer sent the car to speedy who fitted new tyres. After I took delivery I started reading the vehicle manual. To my surprise I found out that the wrong tyres were fitted to the rear of the vehicle. Speedy's attitude is that they did what the dealer told them to do. My opinion is that Speedy is the tyre expert and not the dealer. Simron at Speedy even acknowledged that instead of fitting 225's it should have been 245's. Simron then tells me that I can pay R2500 and he will replace the rear tyres. What makes this even worse is that I phoned another supplier who says that the prices I have been quoted are a total ripoff for the brand of tyre. This is absolutely disgusting and unless Speedy find a resolution I will never make use of them ever again and I will ensure that nobody that I know ever use them because of the ridiculous overcharging and the poor attitude regarding their mistake.
