Oct 2011, I bought a car from McCarthy VW, the whole deal was telephonic. the car is a 2011 vw 1.6 comfortline. I requested Leather interior as its not offered standard. There were delays with regards to delivery of my car, and because I wanted leather interior, i was advised that it will cause even further delays that I did not want. I asked if they could deliver the car without Leather and arrange with VW Polokwane to have it done there at a time convenient to us both. Zaza Mahlangu, the sales lady hu sold me the car agreed and made those arrangements. I paid R7500.00 if not more for that extra. some company called Mathosim in Polokwane did my leather and when I compared my car to other VW Polos, mine looked like a chop job! when I spoke to Barend earlier this year after I called the VW customer care, he explicitly said it was my fault that the car got done by people whom he then revealed they ddnt have VW approval. he wanted me to drive for /- 500km so he can see the job himself, I asked if I cant take my car to my closest vw dealer in Kimberly and he could communicate with them, then we reached a deadlock... I would like a resolution to this cos I was ripped off. im not happy!
