Bought a VW Polo from Alpine VW in 2011. The Sales lady told me the leather was VW leather, and on the Offer to Purchase, it states "Alcantara Leather". Since VW offer this leather package on other NEW cars, advertised ON THEIR WEBSITE, I clearly was not suspicious that the leather was aftermarket, or if the sales lady was lying to me or not. Now, 6 months before my warranty is up, the leather is starting to come apart at the seams on the seat. When I took it in to be repaired to Alpine VW, I was told that the car was sold with CLOTH seats. Basically, you cannot trust anything you buy from these guys at Alpine, I was warned by MANY people not to buy there, as they have had issues. Now I warn you, do not trust them, buy from another dealer. Alpine VW, the next step is that you repair my seat. Whether you do or do not, I will be continuing with this story to Consumer Watch, Facebook, and the newspapers. So, it's up to you how you decide you want to look in the public eye. I will be continuing to publicise this until the seat is fixed.
