A few weeks ago, I sent in a complaint about Craig Motors - the dealer who refused to assist me after several emails and calls to him re the gearbox damage on my vehicle. I have since contacted the SA Consumer Board who are dealing with my complaint, as I only had the vehicle for 5 months before the problem started. I have since gone to a reputable company who have given me a quote to repair my vehicle. The owner contacted me today and said "I have never seen such damage to a gearbox in all my life, and I have been doing this for a very long time". He confirmed that Ronnie Craig must have known about the damage before he sold me the car and he reminded me that I had recourse in this regard. The quote for my vehicle is R39400.00. So needless to say, when I took my car in to the dealer to have the vehicle looked at when the "malfunction" light appeared on the dashboard, it was not just a "small thing" as Craig motors informed me and they then naturally cleared the light. I see many A class Mercedes models at Craig Motors in Bergvliet, and my warning to all out there... DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! HE WANTS YOUR MONEY BUT PROVIDES NO AFTER SALE SERVICE!!!
