General Motors South Africa
Captiva deal

On the 9th of December 2012 i went on holiday with my Chec Captiva which i purchased two months before for R199 000.00 from Auto City dealership Heidelberg. As i was in the Kruger National park my vehicle broke and i went to the local GM dealership for help. i was told that the part that broke can only be replaced in three weeks time as there are no parts in SA available at given time. i had to make an emotional decision and decided to purchase a newer model from Simpson Motors for R272000. I was told on the day of purchase that the Dealer Principal is out for the day but he said that he would at first just settle my vehicle for R136000 and when back the damage which was told to me is R8, 000.00 and a few rands. a claim was also put in at Motorrite towards the damage and they approved R5, 000 towards the claim. On my return i started communicating with the dealer Principal Mr. Simpson but all of the sudden even if the vehicle were advertised for R272, 000 he started saying that the vehicle was sold 10000 under retail and they put a towbar on the vehicle that they didn't ask anything for ext. i send several mails to him ask when i will be refunded without any joy
