My father in law and i took his Renault scenic 1 for a noise that was coming from the motor. I had a technician look at the vehicle anad was told its coming from the cambelt side. I asked if the gent was sure and he said yes. I then proceeded to go to the parts counter and recieve a qoute on parts. After that i proceeded to the service advisor where i got a quote for labour and fitment if the parts. I did not tell the service advisor of the problem as i was told for sure by their nechanic that this was definitely the problem. Everything was replaced and the noise was still there and 10 times worse. Ontop of this we were told the alternater bearing was gone (problem from the start) and cam and crank seals were leaking. We were told about thw water bottle that had a crack in it and was given a price. There was a miss communication over the price on that aswell from the call we recieved. We refused to leave the vehicle with them becayse under the discussion it felt like playing tennis instead of sorting the issue out. There is more to the story but to much to type. So this is the just of it and i want to finish the story with renault reginal manager.
