Unacceptable customer service!!!

I hired a luxury vehicle for 1 day from Drive SA, who in turn made use of Avis, at O.R Tambo international airport. I paid (R2238) for the hire of the vehicle for 1 day on the 17th September 2013.On Saturday the 21st September 2013 I collected the vehcile at the airport at about 14h15 and returned the vehicle back on Sunday the 22nd Septmber2013, at about 14h00.Upon making an enquiry to Avis to release the funds that was on hold on my card I was informed that they will first have to trace my credit card details before the amount could be refunded. On the 23rd September Avis took an additional amount of R2629.99 from my account as their information indicated I took the vehicle on Friday therefore I was charged an extra day. I have been in contact with the people from Drive SA, Bukeka Mangcu, as well as Jason Cothill to clarify the matter. Today is the 7th October and there still seem to be some confusion when I contacted Gail. Dolphin. No one seems to know exactly when I took the vehicle and when I returned the vehicle back and in the meantime they are holding on to my R2629.99.This is totally unacceptable, and I was further advised that they are having a backlog on refund payments.
