I purchased goods from a company that promised me 24hr shipping. As promised, the goods were picked up by the courier on the 27/9/2013 to be delivered to me on the 30/09/2013. On the 30th at 16:13 I followed up with the courier company's customer service and was told that the courier's driver had been to my address and left a 'calling card' for me. Strangely, no one can tell me who this calling card was left with. I then left my contact number and was told that the driver will deliver the parcel shortly. I waited until 17:00 and checked the courier company's website, using my trace number. This is what greeted me:
"30/09/13 16:44:29 Johannesburg Calling Card Left - Delivery was attempted, the receiver was not available".
An absolute because I was home and the driver had not contacted me on the number I had left for him to contact me on. What is the point of PAYING for same day shipping??? Unbelievable bad service!
