I recently proceeded to look for a new car and looked at the VW Polo 1.6 Comfortline. I looked on the VW SA website for the prices and options and proceeded to contact them through email to request a final price for the options I wanted on the car which included the following: 1.6 Polo comfortline with metalic paint, cruise control, 120000 service and maintanance plan, according to my calculations the price would be around R250000, a week later someone from VW called me and asked how they can help me, they had no clue what car I was interested in and what options I selected. They forwarded me the email they recevied from VW and it was even for the wrong car. The service even before buying was pathetic, the price is rediculous at R250000. I have since bought a Renault Clio Yahoo plus from Tygerberg Renault, the car has the same features, comes with a full service and maintanance plan and they even fix scratch marks on the car for free, for 4 years I only pay for tyres and wheel alignment and the price was R170000 I get R23000 cash back so making it around R150 000, a full R100 000 cheaper than the VW Polo. VW you have lost the plot completely!!!
