I bought a polo 1.4 comfortline sedan in 2012. After about 2 weeks there was this knocking sound left front. I took it back and the base plate was bended a little with no result. The vehicle went back several times without any improvement. The vehicle was replaced by a new one, just to hear the knocking sound after about 50km's AGAIN!! Since then the vehicle went back several times, the gearbox and engine mounting were replaced and after about 2000 km's the knocking sound was back. The vehicle went in several times again and I was told that this is a trademark of this specific models. VW SA test drive the vehicle and told the mechanic to bend something and now the sounds are even worse. I did not pay for a new vehicle to hear knocking and clacking sounds the whole time. VW SA say they can't tell me what I want to hear. I want a new car and defnitely not a 1.4 polo comfortline sedan and I will not carry any financial loss for all the time and money lost already on something that's suppose to be new and good. A similar complaint was logged on the 15 th January 2012. VW SA just admit this is a DUD and do what you need to do. 9000 km's - 2 cars - back 7 times???
