Lindsay Saker
Poor Service

We purchased a GWM Hover from Lindsay Saker Midrand on 20 December 2012. On 21 December we discovered oil pushing out of engine head. Vehicle was handed in on 14 January 2013 (due to holidays) to have numerous faults repaired but virtually nothing was done. We were forced to contact the manager, Deon Scheepers. The vehicle was handed to Autosport in late February where we were told the rings and pistons among others needed to be replaced. It was returned to us in April but it continued to leak oil among other issues. This meant that the vehicle had to be repeatedly taken back (12 times) to the mechanic. It also failed its COR test. Vehicle handed in again on 27 June after a meeting with the Dealer Principal, Gregory Sepolwane and Sales Manager, Scheepers, with the usual oil leaks and faulty heat and fuel gauges. We were assured at this meeting by Sepolwane that this time it would be returned in perfect order. Vehicle was picked up on 30 August, had to be returned immediately with same faults. We requested vehicle taken back and transaction reversed in a detailed email to Sepolwane on 4 September but have been ignored. After 10 months we've lost patience and contacted the ombudsman.
