DHL has failed to deliver on its promise -- again. I am still waiting for a parcel to be cleared by customs that was shipped from Boston on August 21 and has been sitting in Cape Town since August 24. I have sent the proof of payment six times, and have spoken to nine different people, including the person in accounts who supposedly vets these things.
The incredibly expensive three-day service I paid for has still not been honoured after almost three weeks.
I run a small import business and the exact same thing has happened with my last 10 consignments shipped by DHL. The supposed "customer service" agents are always polite, but the company is simply incapable of doing the job for which it is paid. The operations have been in chaos for the past six months or so.
