Awaiting deposit refund no correspondance fromAVIS

I had an Avis Rental through Discovery Insure. The vehicle was returned on Friday 31 May, still within the 30 day period that I was entitled to have the car. That afternoon an amount of R308 was taken off my credit card, for NO reason or notification from Avis. When I enquired on Monday 3 June, I phoned Avis Sandton, battled for more than an hour to query the charges and also to find out when my R750 fuel deposit would be returned to me. I was assured they have received the car and there was NO damage or scratches and the car was filled up, and they promised to release BOTH payments within 48 hours. It is now 1 WEEK after the 48 hours ran out, still NO NOTIFICATION, phone call or ANY response from AVIS. I expect an explanation ASAP AS WELL AS BOTH my refunds!!!
