EUROPCAR secretly ignores all insurance process's

We rented a car from OR Thambo. While we were shopping a car bumped into our rental. Witness's got the details of the vehicle though the bump was so subtle they had to inform us there had been an incident.

Europcar told us to get an incident report number from the police station. We did that and got a claim number against the person who owned the vehicle who bumped into our parked car. Subsequently we got hold of the responsible person and he agreed to pay.

On dropping off the car at Europcar we notified them of the bump as they didn't even notice it and gave them all the information regarding the responsible person and the police case numbers. We were told they would notify us if there was any problem.

Our deposit was payed back and a month later we had not heard anything. Suddenly they debited our account for R12500. I called them and was was told someone would phone me back. I did this no less than 3 times becoming increasingly bitter every-time I was ignored.

I have now just phoned them for a 4th time and in my frustration the claims department literally laughed at me. No one will help me, the manager is always unavailable and Im without words.
