I drive a 2.0 Audi A3 FSI (mileage 94000km), which came out of motor plan in Jan 2013, serviced by Audi Claremont.
Over the last year I have experienced:
- unethical conduct - while I reported my aircon unit was not working at the 75, 000km service, Audi insisted it only needed servicing, only for it to be replaced at a cost of R24000 4 months later - one month out of motor plan.
- negligence of duties - my brakes were not inspected at the 90000km service with the result I was risking my life my 2 childrens driving on near worn-out brake pads
- - fictitiously telling me I have two engine-critical problems (a cambelt and engine fan that both needed replacing) as well as the ambient temperature sensor being broken, when all of these were in absolutely fine working order
- incompetence - the actual problem with my car was a faulty FSI unit which Audi failed to diagnose.
I find this to be entirely unacceptable - I could easily have had a brake failure with my two children in the car - but hey, at least I would have had an entirely unnecessary but brand new fan, cambelt and ambient temperature sensor!
