The Ssangyong is a beautiful car with great features at a great price but don't let this fool you. You will be happy with your vehicle for the first year and a bit but then your problems start. My vehicle, a brand new Ssangyong Korando was registered in January 2012.
We thought at the time that the car was wonderful. A year and 8 months later we have to replace the gearbox. This could have been smoothly handled but unfortunately the after service on these vehicles is shocking and 2 and a half weeks later the warranty claim on this fault has not even been processed as yet. I am passed from pillar to post and no one calls back. After calls between the Mahindra head office, Mahindra's Head of technical support, Mahindra Alberton and the gearbox company I am no closer to getting my vehicle back on the road. To make it worse, no courtesy car, you have to make do on your own!
Consider yourself warned. If you purchase a vehicle in this brand prepare for much frustration when things go wrong.
