I took my car for a service at Car Service City Fourways early in March. After the service I realised that they had not put my service book back in the boot of my car where I had left it for them. I called them and they told me to come in and collect it. I went in the following day to pick it up, and they told me they seemed to have misplaced it. I couldn't help but notice that there were as many as 20 other service books lying around behind the desk in a mess! The man at the desk told me to call back the following day and that they would look for it. Needless to say, my service book had somehow "vanished" and they couldn't find it anywhere. When I spoke to them about how this drastically affected the value of my car (a 2007 VW Polo with a perfect service record) I was met with nothing but rudeness and disdain. I have called and asked that they at least replace my service book with a proper VW one - the very least they could do considering the consequences of losing one's service history - and they have done nothing but dodged my calls and ignored me. I have been trying to get a new service book from Car Service City Fourways for 6 months! Avoid Car Service City at all costs.
