BMW South Africa
How to turn a R5000 repair into a R41 000

1) on 24 July I towed my vehicle to BMW Centurion. Michael Matlala assisted me. I agreed to the R837 diagnostic costs
2) on 26 July, Michael phoned and the quote was R40 850.70. This is about the value of the car so it would not make sense for me to repair the car.
3). Every electrical component in the fuel system was faulty according to the diagnostic starting at the glow plugs, continuing to the high pressure pump, the diesel filter, the primary pressure pump and the pump in the tank. I paid the R837 and left.
4) I did a quick search on the internet and found S&N Automotive in Centurion repair BMW cars. I towed my car there for a 2nd opinion
5) The quote was R4567. I requested that the pump in the fuel tank be added since the car is already 10 years old - even though it was not faulty. This brought the total amount to R 5047.

BMW diagnostic was therefor wrong (by more than 700%) and I should not be paying for this at all. Guess what, they refuse. A customer lost for R837... WOW... Watch out for Leo Haese BMW Centurion. They are not interested in keeping good customers after the sale has been made!!! STAY AWAY!!!
